Following on from our previous master bedroom and dressing room project. Our client, Richard, who was delighted with our previous designs, instructed us to create some contemporary designs for his mothers’ open plan kitchen/living room and hallway. Using a combination of contemporary design, texture, varied materials and a coherent colour palette our fabulous designs were a monumental triumph with both Richard and his mother.
Kitchen and Living Open Plan Area
The gorgeous contemporary style kitchen is navy blue with oak accents, in-keeping with the flooring and internal doors adding an element of interest and warmth.

Large brass pendant lights were selected for the island area. Tan quilted bar stools also adorn the island area complimenting the navy blue of the kitchen units.

For softness and interest the striking Arguto wool rug supplied by atomic interiors in a complimentary colour palette adorns the oak flooring.

Contemporary wave headed curtains in Fleck natural by Kirkby Design and venetian blinds for light control complete the window treatments.
The Gustav console table in metal and marble is situated behind the sofa and above is the eye catching indigo strokes artwork and totem table lamp.
For further interest and added texture an array of cushions, throws and accessories completed the overall design.

Hallway
A variety of materials were chosen to complement the existing oak elements. A colour palette of blue, yellow, pink and green continued the seamless flow. An overall contemporary design with plenty of interest created with textures and pattern was achieved.
