We were appointed to design the master bedroom and adjoining dressing area for our clients Mother. A delicate and interesting design was created, introducing a variety of natural elements and textures upon a relaxing feminine colour palette. Our client provided a few images his mother was inspired by; natural materials, calming ambience, contemporary wall art, soft colour palette and textural elements.
Natural materials were a preference; oak elements already existed throughout the interior spaces. To continue the seamless flow we introduced further touches in the way of an oak and marble topped console table and oak footed bed and occasional chair.
Sage grey emulsion by Sandersons was chosen as an accent colour for one of the wall coverings.
A tactile fabric by Kirkbydesign was chosen for the bespoke occasional chair. The fabric has a densely woven bouclé weave which conjures thoughts of rocky terrains with its extreme tactility and three-dimensional appearance.
White cotton waffle bedding with complimentary throws and cushions in green, cream and black with varying textures, completed the dressing of the bespoke bed. A hand-woven cream rug adorns the complimentary existing carpet.
Smoked glass and pink velvet table lamps provide a pop of colour, varying textures and an air of sophistication.
Sumptuous full length curtains in Zoffany stitch plain fabric were selected for both treatments.
Bespoke fitted wardrobes in matt white with black ironmongery and oak finish shelving have been designed for the dressing area. An elegant black and brass dressing table with complimentary black marble and brass vanity mirror were selected.
A soft pop of salmon velvet fabric was selected for the bespoke vanity chair.
